Batang Gadis National Park

Every visitor will be amazed by the park's elevation, which ranges from 300 to 2,145 meters above sea level and is situated along the Bukit Barisan mountain range.

The Relic of Sumatran Tropical Forest

A variety of indigenous creatures from South Sumatra, North Sumatra, and East Sumatra provide Batang Gadis its great diversity. In this national park, several rare plant species flourish in large numbers, including the Rafflesia Arnoldi, the Kantong Semar, and the Meranti Merah. Along with other uncommon creatures, this national park is home to the Asian Golden Cat, Sumatran Serow, Tapir, and birds that had been thought to be extinct for a century.

Traveling allows one to explore culture as well as nature.

This national park's broad and deep caldera is another intriguing feature. There are historical ancient Japanese colonial caverns as well as natural caves that are dispersed around the park.

When visiting Sibangor Village, for instance, you may view traditional houses with Ijuk roofs, you are also given the opportunity to learn about the history and values of traditional Sumatran culture.
